Signs that a parent may be experiencing impaired bonding with their infant may include ignoring the infant, showing apathy or indifference when the infant cries, expressing disgust with diapers or spit-up, or expressing disappointment in the infant.

Signs that a parent may be experiencing impaired bonding with their infant may include ignoring the infant, showing apathy or indifference when the infant cries, expressing disgust with diapers or spit-up, or expressing disappointment in the infant. Encourage the parent to cuddle the infant or have skin-to-skin contact.
