The Therapeutic Index (TI) is a comparison of the minimum amount at which a drug is effective and the level at which a drug becomes toxic.

The Therapeutic Index (TI) is a comparison of the minimum amount at which a drug is effective and the level at which a drug becomes toxic. Medications with a HIGH TI are safer, while medications with a LOW TI require close monitoring of serum medication levels.
