Hemophilia: Patient Teaching

Teach families with children who have hemophilia to prevent bleeding by avoiding NSAID/aspirin use and limiting IM injections when possible.

Teach families with children who have hemophilia to prevent bleeding by avoiding NSAID/aspirin use and limiting IM injections when possible. Children should be encouraged to participate in physical therapy to maintain their ROM, but should avoid contact sports due to the risk for injury.
