Herbal supplements can interact with medications! Garlic, Gingko Biloba, and Ginger increase a patient's bleeding risk with aspirin, NSAIDs, and warfarin.
What is the increased bleeding risk with garlic, gingko biloba and ginger, is it 10, 15 or 20 percent? Does it affect males and females alike? Does it increase with age and by how much? Those with liver issues or GI issues how does it affect that population? What other medications will increase or magnify gingko biloba and ginger? My understanding is that gingko biloba and ginger does increase bleeding risk by 2-3 weeks and the body adjusts.
